Terps Advance to Semifinals in Big Ten Match Play

PALM COAST, Fla. - The fourth-seeded Maryland men's golf team beat Rutgers and Northwestern to advance to the semifinals in the Big Ten Match Play championship at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Fla.

Maryland beat 13th-seeded Rutgers, 3-2, in the first round Sunday, then fifth-seeded Northwestern, 2-2-1, to advance to Monday's semfinals. The Terrapins will face top-seeded Illinois Monday afternoon.
Tom Harris, David Kocher and Ben Warnquist all won their matches to defeat the Scarlet Knights. Against the Wildcats, Warnquist and Connor Tendall won, while Harris' match was halved.
