COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland track and field team travels to Nebraska for the Husker Invitational this weekend in Lincoln, Neb. Competition begins Friday before finishing up on Saturday.
High jumper Amber Melville and multi-event specialist Thea LaFond will once again lead the Terps. Melville won the high jump at the Armory Invitational her last time out while LaFond broke the Maryland all-time mark in the 60m hurdles.

LaFond will also compete in the 60m hurdles with Wade Lisa Meneau and Noella Anyangwe. The Terps are well represented in the 600m with Alexandra Cimino, Rachelle Alexander, Catherine Voelpel and Shade Pratt all competing in that event.
Senior Myah Hicks will anchor the Terps in middle distance as the long representative in the 800m. Maryland will also have two teams in the 4x400m on the women's side.
In the men's competition, Diego Lyon and Clyde Gross will represent the Terps in the 60m hurdles. Lyon had a solid result at the Armory Invitational. Gross will join Alex Leto, Brandon Thompson and Lionel Wilson in the 200m dash competition on Saturday.
Thompson, who also performed well in New York, will take on a solid field in the 60m dash. Derrick Holland is Maryland lone competitor in the men's triple jump.
