He captured Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honors four times over the course of the season en route to earning unanimous All-Big Ten first team honors. He was also named NCWBA Pitcher of the Week after his 13-strikeout performance against Cal State Fullerton.
A Dick Howser Award and Golden Spikes Award semifinalist, Shawaryn will play for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team this summer, becoming just the second Terp to ever don the Stars and Stripes.
