COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's lacrosse team was one of 83 programs to earn IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Squad honors for 2015, as announced by the organization Monday.
Every school with a 3.0 team grade-point average was honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
In May, 13 Terps earned All-Big Ten Academic honors, including Nicole Aust, Megan Douty, Brooke Griffin, Emily Kift, Theo Kwas, Kristen Lamon, Annie Lynch, Alex McKay, Alice Mercer, Deb Milani, Casey Pepperman, Zoe Stukenberg and Caroline Wannen. Stukenberg earned the Elite 89 Award at the 2015 NCAA Championship as the student-athlete with the highest GPA participating at the finals site. Stukenberg holds a 4.00 GPA as a biological sciences major.
Maryland earned its 13th national championship in May after posting a 21-1 overall record and earning the inaugural Big Ten Regular Season Championship.
