Keeley Block’s four goals helped Maryland kick-start its 36th straight NCAA Tournament run.
COLLEGE PARK, MD — Four Terps logged multi-goal games in No. 3 Maryland's 11-8 win over No. 20 Rutgers in the Second Round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament at SECU Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Terps advance to face No. 6 Navy in College Park on May 14th at 5 PM.

Maryland scored the game's first four goals as part of a six-goal first quarter to take command early in the contest. Clevenger became the third Terp with two first-half goals as she scored one of Maryland's two goals in the second quarter. Kori Edmondson netted her 45th of the year in the frame as the Terps took an 8-5 lead into the break. Edmondson scored her second of the day in the Terps' two-goal third quarter to keep them in the lead entering the final 15 minutes.Back-to-Back for @MarylandWLax 🐢

JJ Suriano made 10 key saves in the win. Kayla Gilmore secured six of Maryland's 13 draw controls as the Terps improved to 29-2 all-time against Rutgers. - Block's 35th goal of the season opened the scoring in the second minute of action.
- Lipkin's 23rd goal of the year gave the Terps a 2-0 lead.
- LaPointe's 60th goal of 2026 opened a 3-0 lead.
- LaPointe scored again 28 seconds later to extend the lead.
- Rutgers got on the board before Block's second goal of the quarter gave Maryland a 5-1 lead.
- Clevenger's seventh goal of 2026 came with 22 seconds left and gave the Terps a 6-1 advantage to take into the second quarter.
- Suriano made a big save in the opening minutes.
- Rutgers netted the first goal of the quarter three minutes in.
- Edmondson's 45th goal of the season came on a free position shot and gave Maryland a 7-2 lead.
