COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland head coach Kerry McCoy announced the addition of 17 newcomers for the 2015-16 season Wednesday afternoon.
The class boasts a consensus top-25 national ranking and boasts a number of state champions and placers at prestigious high school competitions. McCoy and his staff have now brought in a top-25 recruiting class in three of the last five years.
“I am very excited for the class coming in,” head coach Kerry McCoy said. “It took a lot of effort to get this class and I am thankful for the work my staff put into to recruiting this year. This group of guys is awesome. They really are a great fit with the program and more importantly with each other. They are going to do great things and help us reach our goals.”
The group boasts four wrestlers ranked in d1collegewrestling.com's top-150 and a number of nationally ranked competitors following their final high school season.
