ROSEMONT, Ill.  – Three members of the Maryland men's golf team were named to the Big Ten Players to Watch list Wednesday. Senior Tom Harris, sophomore David Kocher and freshman Timothy Colanta were named to the list by the league's head coaches.

Kocher received a bid to NCAA Regionals as an individual competitor earlier this year. He was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team and was also awarded a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award after finishing tied for third in the Big Ten Championship.

Harris, the Terrapins' lone senior this year, will serve as team captain. He has competed in 29 of 30 tournaments in his career. He was named to the Big Ten Players to Watch List last year as well.

Colanta is a freshman from Reunion, Fla., and was named an AJGA Rolex All-America honoree in 2014.

Maryland will open its fall season in the Rod Myers Invitational, hosted by Duke, Sept. 12-13 in Durham, N.C.
