#66 Terps Set to Open Season at ITA Kick-Off

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The No. 66 Maryland women's tennis team opens its season at the ITA Season Kick-off at the Boar's Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Va. The Terrapins begin play at 10 a.m., Saturday against Columbia.
Virginia will face BYU at 1:30 p.m. The winners will face each other on Saturday with a spot in the 2016 ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championship on the line. That event, hosted by Wisconsin, will take place Feb. 5-8.

Maryland's preseason ranking is its highest since 2012. The Terps return eight players from last season's squad and add two talented freshmen in Arnelle Sullivan and Caroline Williams. Sophomore Ekaterina Tour is the Terps' top singles player and was ranked in the top-15 of the Atlantic Regional rankings.
The doubles pair of Tour and Kristina Hovsepyan was rated as the seventh-best doubles team in the Atlantic Region.
