COLLEGE PARK, Md.

- True freshman Tyrrell Pigrome made the first start of his career, becoming the first true freshman to start for the Terrapins since Shawn Petty on Nov. 24, 2012 at North Carolina.

- Maryland had three true freshman make starts in the game (Tyrrell Pigrome, Terrance Davis and Tino Ellis) – the first time since Nov. 24, 2012 at North Carolina (Stefon Diggs, Shawn Petty and Mike Madaras).

- Senior Levern Jacobs totaled a career-high 10 receptions to reach 102 receptions for his career. The 10-catch day moved Jacobs past five former Terrapin receivers into 11th on Maryland's career reception chart.

Levern Jacobs' 10 catches were the most for a Terrapin since Stefon Diggs had 10 catches against Stanford on Dec. 30, 2014.

- Senior defensive tackle Azubuike Ukandu recorded a career-high nine tackles in his first start of 2016.

- The Maryland defense held Minnesota to just seven pass completions. It was the least completions for an opponent since Boston College had just six completions on Nov. 23, 2013.
