ROSEMONT, Ill. - Maryland senior defender Alex Crognale was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after his work in a win against Wisconsin last Friday.

Crognale scored two goals, including the late equalizer to send the match into overtime where the Terps eventually won, 3-2, to claim the Big Ten regular season championship for the second time in the last three seasons.

The captain from Gahanna, Ohio, boasts four goals this season.

Maryland returns to action when it plays host to American Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Ludwig Field.
