LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The fifth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (5-0) will take on Washington State (4-1) Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET in the South Point Shootout at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.

Maryland cruised past No. 23 Arizona State (2-2) with a dominant 83-42 victory Friday afternoon in the South Point Shootout at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Shatori Walker-Kimbrough scored 20 points and Maryland led by as many as 32 points. She led five Terps in double figures. Brionna Jones added 14 points and 10 rebounds and Brianna Fraser scored 11 points for the Terrapins. Freshmen Kaila Charles and Destiny Slocum added 10 points each.
This is Maryland's second matchup with Washington State. The Cougars took the first meeting, 70-64, in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Nov. 29, 2014.
The Terps are currently leading the country in rebounding (+24.6) and assists (24.2). They are second in scoring (98.2) and third in field goal percentage (.535).
The Terrapins are ranked No. 6 in the latest Associated Press poll and No. 5 in the USA Today Division I Coaches poll.
After the South Point Shootout, the Terps will play at No. 4 Louisville (6-0) Thursday in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at the KFC Yum! Center. The Terps-Cardinals game will be streamed online through ACC Network Extra.
