Trimble Named One of 10 Finalists for Cousy Award

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland sophomore Melo Trimble has been named one of 10 finalists for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year award, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced Monday.

Trimble leads Maryland in scoring (14.5 ppg), assists (5.4), free throw percentage (.874) and steals (29). The Upper Marlboro, Md., native, boasts seven games with 20 or more points this season and has tallied 10 or more assists in two contests.

This list will be narrowed down to five finalists sometime in early/mid March. The winner of this award will be presented at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show live from Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA on Friday, April 8th.
