
Kocher Named First Team All-Big Ten

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Sophomore David Kocher of the Maryland men's golf team was named to the All-Big Ten First Team Tuesday, earning All-Big Ten honors for the second straight season.
Kocher finished tied for sixth in the Big Ten Tournament this past weekend. He earned a combined score of 213 (72-69-72), which was three-under total.
Kocher has finished in the top 10 at seven of the Terrapins' 11 tournaments this season and won the individual title at the Firestone Invitational in the fall.
Kocher was also honored with a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award. Kocher was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team as a freshman last year.
The Terrapins finished third at the Big Ten Men's Golf Championship Sunday at the Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind.
BTN will debut coverage of the Big Ten Men's Golf Championships on Sunday, May 1 at Noon ET. The NCAA Men's Golf Championship selection show will air on the Golf Channel on Thursday, May 5, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
