EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Maryland women's tennis team moved to 5-3 in Big Ten play with a 5-2 win over Michigan State on Saturday at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility.
The Terripans, 8-9 overall, have won six of their last nine matches.
The Spartans (9-9, 1-5 Big Ten) fell behind after the doubles point where Maryland took all three matches.
The Terps won at each of the top two singles spots, with Arnelle Sullivan claiming a three-sets victory and Alexandra Stanova winning in straight sets.
Kristina Hovsepyan and Ekaterina Tour also picked up three-set singles wins to lead Maryland to the victory.
Maryland will continue its road trip on Sunday at Michigan.
