MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- Junior Sarah Lang got the only Terrapins hit in a 9-0 run-rule loss to No. 24 Minnesota on Sunday afternoon.
Minnesota pitcher Sara Groenewegen kept the Terps off balance all afternoon, pitching a perfect game through four innings. On her senior day, Nikki Anderson relieved the reigning Big Ten player of the year in the fifth and allowed the only Maryland hit of the game.
Brenna Nation and Hannah Dewey each pitched two innings for Maryland. The Gophers scored in every inning, knocking nine runs, ten hits, and three home runs.
Maryland will have its final home series of the season next weekend, as the Terps take on Indiana in a three-game set in College Park.
