
Kocher Moves Up at NCAA Regionals

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –Sophomore David Kocher of the Maryland men's golf team moved up to 11th in the standings after day two at NCAA Regionals Tuesday at the Ol' Colony Golf Complex in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Kocher shot a 69, which was three-under par, to move up the standings from 32nd after day one Monday. He owns a combined score of 144 (72-69), to sit even.
Senior Tom Harris shot a 79 Tuesday. His combined score is currently 160 (81-79).
Harris and Kocher are two of 10 individuals competing in Tuscaloosa. For the full list, click here. They will play the final 18 holes Wednesday, teeing off at 7:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available here.
The field for the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships consists of 81 teams and 45 individuals not on those teams. Thirteen teams and ten individuals not on those teams will compete in Tuscaloosa. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams will advance to the finals to be played May 27 to June 1 at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.
Kocher earned an NCAA Regionals bid last season and competed in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
The Terrapins have had an individual compete in each of the last four seasons. Sean Bosdosh earned bids in 2013 and 2014.
