COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 4 Maryland men's soccer team wrapped up its exhibition season with a 3-0 record after defeating Xavier, 3-1, on Saturday night at Ludwig Field.
Eryk Williamson, George Campbell and DJ Reeves all tallied goals for Maryland. Cody Niedermeier picked up the win at keeper with three saves in 45 minutes of work.
Chris Odoi-Atsem served a beautiful ball from the near sideline for a Williamson header from five yards for the Terps' first score in the 19th minute.
Campbell doubled the score with a shot from seven yards courtesy of an assist from Connor Smith with 1:11 to play in the first half.
Xavier notched its lone goal in the 63rd minute via a Jalen Brown blast from 20 yards.
Reeves capped the scoring on the night with a header in traffic in the 87th minute.
Maryland travels to UCLA to kick off the 2016 campaign on Friday at 10 p.m. at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, Calif.
