
Terps Open at The Ocean Course

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Maryland men's golf team competed in The Invitational at The Ocean Course Monday at the Kiawah Island Resort in South Carolina. The Terps competed in the first two rounds and will compete in the third and final round Tuesday.
As a team, the Terrapins are currently tied for 7th with a team score of 571 (290-281), which is -5 overall.
Freshman Peter Knade leads the Terrapins and is tied for sixth on the leaderboard. He is four-under so far, with a score of 140 (71-69).
Sohomore Justin Feldman is one-under with a 143 (73-70) and is in the top 30 in the standings. Junior David Kocher and sophomore Timothy Colanta are both even with scores of 144 and tied for 36th.
Junior Joe Brooks went six-over par with a score of 150 (75-75).
The Terrapins are one of 16 teams competing, including Augusta, Charleston Southern, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Francis Marion, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, South Alabama, Troy, VCU, Winthrop, West Virginia and tournament-host College of Charleston.
The third and final round will begin Tuesday with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start as well. For live scoring, click here.
The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort is a par-72 and covers 7,115 yards. It has played host to the 2007 Senior PGA and 2012 PGA Championships. It will also host the 2021 PGA Championship. The Ocean Course is only the fourth course to host each of the PGA of America's major championships. Located on the eastern-most end of Kiawah Island, The Ocean Course has more seaside holes than any other course in the Northern Hemisphere.
