ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Maryland men's basketball team will have 11 games televised on the Big Ten Network during the 2016-17 season, the Big Ten Conference announced Monday.
Maryland's regular season opener against American on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. will tip off the coverage. The Terps will be featured on BTN for an additional seven conference games – beginning on Jan. 1 when Maryland hosts Nebraska.
In addition, Maryland will have four non-conference games featured on BTN and based on network scheduling can have additional two games added to the BTN slate. The Terps will also host Catawba College in an exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 5 on BTN Plus.
Under Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon, the Terps finished with a 27-9 record last season and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first in 13 seasons.
