COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's golf team will open the spring slate Sunday in the Puerto Rico Classic at the Rio Mar Beach and Spa Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
The 54-hole event will be played at the Resort's River Course. It begins Sunday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. ET and will play 18 holes every day, concluding on Tuesday.

The Terrapins will compete against North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia Tech, NC State, Mississippi, Middle Tennessee State, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Northwestern, Clemson, Georgia, UNC Greensboro and tournament-host Purdue.
In last year's Puerto Rico Classic, junior David Kocher tied for fourth in the individual standings at -6.
