Terps No. 42 in First ITA Top 50 Ranking

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Maryland women's tennis team was ranked No. 42 in the ITA's first Top 50 team ranking of the 2017 season.
This is Maryland's highest ranking since the Terps were ranked No. 40 in the 2012 season. It is also Maryland's fourth highest ranking in program history.
The ITA ranked the Top 25 teams in the country for the first five weeks of the spring season, and then extended the rankings to 50 teams beginning this week.
Maryland has started the spring season 5-0, with its most recent victory coming against Purdue in its Big Ten opener. The Terps will be back in College Park on February 25, when they host Penn.
