
#3 Terps Meet Hoosiers on ESPN2 Sunday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The third-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (22-1, 10-0 B1G) will take on Indiana (15-7, 5-4) Sunday at noon at the Hoosiers' Assembly Hall in Bloomington.
The Terps-Hoosiers matchup will be televised around the world on ESPN2, WatchESPN.com and the Watch ESPN app. Live stats will be available and live updates will be posted to the Terrapins' Twitter feed here.
Sunday's matchup is the fourth all-time between Maryland and Indiana, with the Terrapins winning all three previous matchups. Last year, the Terps won 86-63, on Jan. 30 in College Park. Shatori Walker-Kimbrough led the way with 16 points and Brionna Jones scored 10 with 12 boards.
The Terrapins are also 1-0 at Assembly Hall after an 84-74 win there on Jan. 25, 2015. Brenda Frese is 3-2 vs. Indiana in her career and Hoosiers assistant coach Rhet Wierzba was Maryland's director of operations from 2007-10.
The Terps are coming off an 85-70 win at Purdue Thursday night in West Lafayette. Brianna Fraser led the way with a career-high 18 points off the bench. Jones added 17 points with 14 rebounds, Ieshia Small scored 14 points and Walker-Kimbrough added 12. Destiny Slocum pitched in 10 points with six assists.
Jones is No. 5 on Maryland's rebounding list with 1,065 career boards. She is No. 9 on Maryland's scoring list with 1,674 points and needs six to pass Christy Winters Scott at No. 8 (1,679). She currently leads the Big Ten with 15 double-doubles this year.
Walker-Kimbrough is No. 6 on Maryland's all-time scoring list with 1,882 career points. She needs 47 points to pass Vicky Bullett at No. 5 (1,928). Walker-Kimbrough's career three-point percentage of 44.8% is currently the best in Maryland history ahead of Kristi Toliver's career percentage of 40.8%.
The Terrapins are No. 2 in the country in scoring (90.3), field goal percentage (.506), rebounding margin (+16.2) and third in scoring margin (+27.5). They are fourth in assists (20.6) and fifth in assist/turnover ratio (1.4).
In Big Ten play, Slocum is leading the league in assists with 7.3 per game. She is No. 3 among all league freshmen in scoring (11.1). Kaila Charles is fifth among Big Ten freshmen in scoring (9.7), tied for first in rebounding (5.5) and in offensive rebounds (2.6). Kristen Confroy leads the league in assist/turnover ratio (3.2).
The jerseys of Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough will be honored in the rafters of the XFINITY Center immediately after the Terrapins' Senior Day game on Feb. 26. Both Jones and Walker-Kimbrough have earned First Team All-Big Ten Honors, as well as Associated Press and WBCA Honorable Mention All-America honors. They've led the Terrapins to two Final Fours, two conference tournament titles and two conference regular season crowns. They have earned a record of 115-15 (.885) overall and a record of 61-5 (.924) at home at the XFINITY Center.
