Terps Set for Janney VCU Shootout

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's golf team will open the 2017-18 season Monday at the Janney VCU Shootout in Richmond, Va.
The Terrapins will play on the Tuckahoe Creek Course at the Country Club of Virginia. The teams competing will play all three rounds Monday and Tuesday.

In last year's Janney VCU Shootout, the Terps finished sixth out of 14 teams competing. Junior Timothy Colanta led the way for Maryland, tying for seventh on the leaderboard. He shot a 137 (70-67), which was seven strokes under par.
Senior David Kocher, sophomore Peter Knade and Colanta earned Big Ten Preseason honors last month.
