VERO BEACH, Fla. – The Maryland men's golf team closed its fall slate in the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational at Quail Valley Golf Club in Vero Beach, Fla. Tuesday.

The Terrapins improved their second round score 13 strokes to finish seventh in the 16-team field. Maryland earned a team score of 865 (296-291-278), which was just one stroke over par total.

Redshirt junior
Evan Santa led the way for the Terrapins and finished tied for 17
th in the standings. He shot a 69 in the second and third rounds to earn a score of 213 (75-69-69), which was three strokes under.

Junior
Christian Park went even on the event with a score of 216 (72-74-70) and tied him for 31
st.

Peter Knade earned a score of 219 (75-74-70), which was +3 and senior
Timothy Colanta shot a 221 (73-75-72), which was +5.

Freshman
Dillon Brown earned an overall score of 223, which was seven strokes over. He shot a 69 in Tuesday's third and final round after earning scores of 80 and 74 in the first two.

The Terps will tee off in the 54-hole event Sunday at 8:30 a.m. The teams will play 18 holes Monday and the final round of 18 holes Tuesday. Live scoring will be available
