ROSEMONT, Ill. – Maryland men's soccer student-athletes Amar Sejdic, Donovan Pines and William James Herve earned All-Big Ten honors Friday afternoon. Sejdic and Pines were named first-team selections while Herve was a unanimous selection to the all-freshman team.
Sejdic leads the Terps with five goals started all 16 matches in the center of midfield. The Louisville, Ky., native, who served as a captain for the Terps this season, was also a first-team All-Big Ten selection as a sophomore in 2016.
Pines earns his third All-Big Ten honor after being named to the second team in 2017 and the all-freshman team in 2016. The junior has impressed throughout the season with his aerial prowess and ability to track back and shut down opposition attacks. He has also added a goal and an assist as an imposing threat in the box on set pieces.
Herve arrived from Paris before the season and burst onto the scene with three goals and two assists from the midfield. Herve is Maryland's first all-freshman selection since Pines two seasons ago.
