Cray fell via a 2-1 decision to Justin Cardani (Illinois) after Cardani earned points via a hands to the face penalty and riding time. Ugalde dropped his match to Ben Harvey (Army West Point), 7-2.
The two New Jersey natives shined throughout the event, with each picking up a trio of victories. Cray tallied two pins in the 125-pound flight, while Ugalde upset the 14th and third-seeded wrestlers in the 174-pound weight class.
