Redshirt juniors Ryan Diehl (141) and Alfred Bannister (149) and junior Youssif Hemida (285) will all wrestle in their second career NCAA Championship event this weekend.

NCAA SEEDING
Youssif Hemida enters the NCAA Championships as Maryland's highest seeded wrestler, earning the No. 12 seed in the heavyweight bracket.
Alfred Bannister is also seeded going into the weekend. Bannister is the No. 16 seed in the 149-pound weight class.
OPENING ROUND SCHEDULE
The NCAA announced the brackets for the NCAA Championships on Mar. 7.
141-pounder Ryan Diehl will open his weekend against eighth-seeded Nick Lee of Penn State. It will be the second time the two will meet this season.
16th-seeded Alfred Bannister will kick-off his NCAA Championships against Wyoming's Sam Turner. Turner posted a 25-15 record this season.
12th-seeded Youssif Hemida will close out Maryland's opening round matches with a bout against Virginia's Tyler Love, who went 8-17 on the season.
#MOOSETIME
Junior heavyweight Youssif Hemida has anchored Maryland's lineup this season. The Mamaroneck, New York, native has posted a career-best 27 wins on the year, with just five losses this season.
He tallied 15 dual wins this season, including a team-best eight Big Ten wins. His lone dual loss came to eighth-ranked Nick Nevills of Penn State.
BIG BABY J
Alfred “Baby J” Bannister has had a big redshirt-junior season for the Terrapins.
The Maryland-native has nine wins by fall this season, which is tied for the most on the Terrapin roster with teammate Youssif Hemida.
Bannister has racked up seven dual wins on the year and has won seven of his last eight dual matches, with the lone loss coming to No. 1 Zain Retherford of Penn State.
Bannister has won two open tournament championships, picking up titles at the Mat Town Open and the Wilkes Open.
He also had a runner-up finish at the Princeton Open to begin the season and picked up his first conference victory of the season at Illinois.
THE REAL DIEHL
Ryan Diehl has come on strong for Maryland in the latter part of its 2017-18 campaign. The 2017 NCAA Championships qualifier enters the postseason a winner of three of his final four matches, including two wins by pinfall.
Diehl pinned Illinois' Dylan Thurston (1/28) before sticking returning All-American and 14th-ranked Tommy Thorn of Minnesota in Maryland's B1G finale.
The West Virginia native also has three Big Ten wins and eight dual wins on the season.
WRESTLERS OF THE WEEK
Maryland has earned the Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honor twice this season. Youssif Hemida earned the distinction on Nov. 21, and Patrick Gerish followed by winning the award on Dec. 19.
Gerish earned the honor after winning the 165-pound bracket at Cleveland State Open. The New Jersey-native posted a 5-0 record with four wins coming by way of fall.
GOING BACK TO BACK
Maryland has produced two dynamic duos in its lineup this season that have been successful in putting together consecutive victories in dual matches.
Ryan Diehl (141) and Alfred Bannister (149) have posted back-to-back wins in dual matches four times this season, including in three-straight matches to close out Maryland's dual season.
The Terps' anchors of David-Brian Whisler (197) and Youssif Hemida (285) also were able to claim consecutive victories in Maryland's final four dual matches of the season.
BATTLE TESTED TERRAPINS
Maryland comes into the postseason having wrestled 10 ranked foes during the 2017-18 dual meet schedule.
The Terrapins battled No. 21 Rider, No. 23 Navy and Campbell (RV) during its non-conference slate.
All of Maryland's B1G opponents this season were ranked when the two teams took the mat. The schedule included three-consecutive home duals against No. 7 Iowa, No. 2 Ohio State
MCCOY REACHES THE CENTURY MARK
In Maryland's 33-14 win over Ohio, head coach Kerry McCoy earned his 100th career victory as the head coach of the Terrapins.
McCoy became just the third coach in program history to reach the century mark, joining John McHugh and Sully Krouse.
He now has 127 dual victories in his coaching career.
