Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week: Syndey Golden

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Each week during the 2017-18 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is Sydney Golden from the Maryland softball team.
Golden was outstanding for Maryland in the Terps' series victory over Penn State over the weekend, throwing two complete games for two wins in the circle.
Golden held a 1.75 ERA for the weekend in 12.0 innings, first throwing a complete game, two-hit shutout over the Nittany Lions in 5.0 innings on Saturday. She followed it up with another complete game performance on Sunday, going the distance to help UMD clinch its first Big Ten series since 2016.
