
Smith Set for McDonald's All-American Game

ATLANTA, Ga. – Incoming freshman Jalen Smith will participate in the 2018 McDonald's All-American game this Wednesday, March 28 at Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Ga. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm and the game will air live on ESPN.
Smith is one of 24 players from across the country chosen to compete in the boys' game after another standout season at Mount Saint Joseph's High School in Baltimore, Md.
Smith repeated as the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Maryland as a senior, averaging 22.2 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks while shooting 62.0 percent from the field this season. Smith is just the second player from Maryland since the award's inception over 30 years ago to win it twice.
Smith is the Terps' third McDonald's All-American under head coach Mark Turgeon at Maryland. For more information on the event, click here.
