
Terps to Open Fall at the Invitational at the Ocean Course

Charleston, S.C. - The Maryland men's golf team will open the 2018-19 season Sunday at the Invitational at the Ocean Course on Sept. 9-11 at the Kiawah Island Resort on Kiawah Island, S.C.
The Terrapins will play on the renowned Ocean Course in Kiawah, a par-72, 7,324-yard course which hosted the 2007 Senior PGA and 2012 PGA Championships. The course will also play host to the 2021 PGA Championship.

This year's tournament field includes Akron, hosts College of Charleston, Charleston Southern, Elon, Francis Marion, George Mason, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, High Point, James Madison, Ole Miss, SMU and Western Carolina.
Senior Timothy Colanta, junior Peter Knade, and redshirt junior Evan Santa were awarded Big Ten Preseason honors last month.
Last season, the Terps finished the season finishing ninth at the Big Ten Championships in Baltimore, Md. with a team score of 874 (287-283-304).
