The Terrapins dominated George Washington, 88-54, Wednesday at the XFINITY Center. Taylor Mikesell led the way with 19 points, Shakira Austin scored 15 with 8 boards, 4 blocks, 4 steals and 4 assists. Stephanie Jones added 12 points, Kaila Charles scored 11 and Diamond Miller chipped in 10. Maryland jumped out to a 23-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

Ashley Owusu earned her first Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor Monday after averaging 13.0 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in the Terps' two wins last week.

Stephanie Jones is currently seven points from 1,000 in her career. She will be the 34th Terp to reach the mark. Shakira Austin is at 96 career blocks.

The Terps are ranked No. 9 in the AP poll released Nov. 18 and No. 10 in the Nov. 19 USA Today Coaches poll.

After Sunday's contest, the Terrapins will hit the road to play in the Daytona Beach Invitational over Thanksgiving. Maryland will play Clemson (2-3) Friday at 5:45 p.m. and Belmont (3-2) Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Both games will be played at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach and will be streamed on PassThaBall.com.
