COLLEGE PARK, Md. – No. 13 Maryland (8-2) will play at Georgia State Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Panthers' GSU Sports Arena in Atlanta.

This is Maryland's first matchup with Georgia State (1-7).
 
Last time out, the Terrapins cruised past Loyola, 105-45, on Dec. 8 in College Park. Shakira Austin led the way with a career-high 25 points and 13 rebounds. Taylor Mikesell hit a career-best six three-pointers for 20 points and Stephanie Jones added 20 points as well.
 
The Terrapins are in the top 10 in the country in assist/turnover ratio (1.4), assists (20.0), steals (13.8), turnover margin (+10.8), scoring margin (+32.4), scoring (85.4) and three-point field goal percentage (.404). Four Terps are among the top 30 in the Big Ten in scoring - Shakira Austin (T13th), Ashley Owusu (17th), Kaila Charles (21st) and Taylor Mikesell (26th). 
 
Kaila Charles recently moved to No. 10 on Maryland's all-time scoring list with 1,649 career points. She is 30 points behind Christy Winters Scott (1987-90) with 1,679 points.
 
Maryland is ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press poll and No. 12 in the USA Today Sports Coaches poll.
  
After Wednesday's contest, they will be off for the holidays, before returning to action Dec. 28 vs. No. 24 Michigan (9-1) in College Park.
