Terps Set for Tar Heel Classic

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's golf team will be heading to the Dominican Republic, this Thursday to compete in the Tar Heel Classic by Suzy Whaley.
The Terrapins will compete March 14 – 16 at the Casa de Campo on Pete Dye's celebrated Teeth of the Dog course.
The course features 54 holes that covers 6,140 yards. It is widely recognized as the No. 1 course in the Caribbean and No. 27 in the world.
Competing for the Terrapins will be sophomore Virunpat Olankitkunchai, sophomore Laura Van Respaille, senior Ludovica Farina, senior Ludovica Scandroglio and junior Xiaolin Tian.

The No. 51 Terrapins will compete against No. 48 Colorado, LSU, No. 57 North Carolina State, Quinnipiac, No. 14 Virginia, Florida Atlantic, Ohio State, No. 18 TCU, No. 46 Virginia Tech, No. 28 Louisville, No. 41 Ole Miss, UNC Wilmington, No. 13 Wake Forest and the host No. 33 North Carolina.
