#7Â Maryland (5-1) vs. Albany (1-3)
COLLEGE PARK, Md. --Â The No. 7 Maryland lacrosse team will play its third straight road game Saturday, March 9 when the Terps travel to face Albany. The game will faceoff at 1:00 pm and will be streamed on ualbanysports.com.
STORYLINES BY THE NUMBERS
3 – Senior Will Snider turned in one of his best offensive performances as a Terp against No. 17 Notre Dame on March 3, securing his first career hat trick with three goals in the third quarter against the Irish. Snider has carved out a starting role on Maryland's first midfield line in his final season with the Terrapins, a year removed from a seven-goal season as a junior.              Â
4 – Freshman Kyle Long had a breakout game for the Terps on March 3 at No. 17 Notre Dame, recording a career-high four points on two goals and two assists. The goals were the first of his collegiate career, as the Springfield, Pa. native netted both in the first half to help pace the Terps early. Long was a 2018  Under Armour All-American coming out of Springfield High School, recording 400 career points and 300 assists.       Â
7 – Short stick defensive midfielder Roman Puglise scooped up a career-high seven ground balls against Navy on Feb. 23, helping the Terrapin faceoff unit finish 18-26 on the day. Puglise was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts, as he also recorded five GBs and a caused turnover against #16 Colgate to help steer Maryland to a 2-0 week.  Â
8 – Sophomore Logan Wisnuaskas finished with a career-high eight points against Navy on Feb. 23, which included his fifth hat trick of the season and a career-best five assists. Wisnauskas has flourished as a setup man on attack with a team-best 12 assists, and he he sits just three helpers behind his total from last season (15).
11 – Senior faceoff specialist Austin Henningsen currents ranks atop the Big Ten and 11th nationally in faceoff winning percentage, holding a 64.1% clip (59-92) this season. Henningsen ranks fifth all-time at Maryland in faceoff wins, with 437 under his belt heading into this weekend's game.  Â
50 – Sophomore Logan Wisnauskas's became the fastest Terp to score 50 goals (23 games) since four-time All-American Joe Walters after scoring his final goal of the day against Navy on Feb. 23. Walters reached the mark just one game sooner than Wisnuaskas, recording his 50th career goal in his 22nd collegiate game during the 2004 season. Wisnauskas's current goals per game average (min. 20 games played) of 2.20 is the best by a Terrapin since Jim Wilkerson averaged 2.21 from 1980-83.Â
55 – Junior Jared Bernhardt eclipsed 100 career points as a Terrapin with his first goal of the game against #16 Colgate on February 19, becoming just the 55th Terp in program history to reach the milestone. Bernhardt now has 111 points (78 G, 33 A) in 43 career games played (T-38th at UMD), and will continue to move up the all-time scoring list as the season progresses. Â
