
Terps Set for Big Ten Championships

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's golf team will be heading to Maineville, Ohio for the Big Ten Championships this weekend.
The Terrapins will compete Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the TPC River's Bend course. The course was named the Top 10 Best New Private Clubs in the U.S. after its opening in 2001.
The Terps will tee off in the first round Friday at 8:30 a.m., followed by the second round Saturday. The third and final round will start Sunday at 8:00 a.m.
Competing for the Terrapins will be sophomore Virunpat Olankitkunchai, sophomore Laura Van Respaille, junior Xiaolin Tian, senior Ludovica Scandroglio, sophomore Charlotte Lafourcade and senior Ludovica Farina.

The No. 50 Terrapins will compete against No. 30 Illinois, No. 56 Indiana, Iowa, No. 69 Michigan, No. 19 Michigan State, No. 108 Minnesota, No. 88 Nebraska, No. 16 Northwestern, No. 57 Ohio State, No. 49 Penn State, No. 33 Purdue, No. 83 Rutgers and No. 90 Wisconsin.
Last year the Terrapins had their best showing in program history in the Big Ten Championships placing second overall as a team. Xiaolin Tian finished second for the Terps last year as an individual.
