COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland football team began its second week of spring practices on Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday's practice was the Terps fourth of the spring and first in full pads. With inclement weather in the area, Head Coach Michael Locksley conducted his first practice inside Cole Field House.
"Obviously, with today's weather, it's a great benefit to have the ability to go indoors," said Locksley. "For me, that's a first here at Maryland. The indoor practice facility is a great benefit. It allowed us to really get some good work in today in a controlled environment."
Locksley was also pleased with the intensity and effort level from his team today.
"I thought today's practice was a little better," explained Locksley. "For as disappointed as I was Saturday with the effort, I thought today we came and practiced with the right kind of mindset and the type of mindset we need to get better with the remaining practices."
The Terps return to the field on Thursday and spring camp will conclude with the annual Red-White Spring Game on Saturday, April 27.
Maryland opens its 2019 campaign on Saturday, August 31 at home against Howard. For more information on the season, follow @TerpsFootball on Twitter and Instagram, and for details on purchasing tickets, visit LockedIn2019.com.
