COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland gymnastics head coach Brett Nelligan announced the addition of three gymnasts for the 2020 season on Friday morning.

"We're excited to welcome three new GymTerps to the Maryland Gymnastics family," said head coach Brett Nelligan. "Each one possess the dedication, drive and desire we look for in a Maryland student-athlete both in the gym as well as the classroom."

Austynn Lacasse
Before Maryland: Three-year competing Junior Olympic Level 10...Three-time Regional Qualifier (2017-2019)...2018 Regional Bars sixth place... 2018 Regionals All-Around State 13^th place...National Honors Society Vice President…Member of French Honors Society…Graduated in top 20 percent of class…attended Bolton High School.

Before Maryland: Four-time Level 10 Regional qualifier…. Three-time Level 10 Junior Olympic National Qualifier...2018 Nationals placed in top 20 on floor…2018 Region Six Championships placed fourth on vault and bars, placed fifth on floor and all-around…2017 Region Six Championships earned fourth on bars, fifth on beam and all-around…2017 State Championships earned third on bars and fifth on all-around…2014 Level 10 Massachusetts State Vault Champion, earned third on beam and floor and placed fifth in all-around…National Honor Society Member…attended Arlington Catholic High School.

Before Maryland: 2019 Junior Olympic National Qualifier...2018 ESGA Level 10 MVP...Two-time Eastern National Qualifier...Central Bucks Gymnast of the Year 2017 & 2018…Central Bucks Level 10 MVP 2017 & 2018…2016 Central Bucks Beam Gymnast MVP…2016 Pennsylvania State Champion on Bars, Floor and All-Around…2016 Region Seven Beam Champion…Two-year member of National Honor Society…Four-year Principals Honor Roll…attended New Hope-Solebury High School.

Coach Brett Nelligan on Silberman: "Emma is an immensely talented gymnast who is having an incredible senior season fueled by her tireless work ethic in the gym. I expect Emma to have a breakout season right away in her freshman campaign."
