
Thompson Earns Second-Team All-American Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Senior thrower Greg Thompson completed his storied Maryland career Friday at the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas in the discus. The London, England native finished 12th with a 57.37m throw.
Maryland's first ever male Big Ten champion won the discus event seven times this season. His career-best mark of 65.56m at the Penn Relays set a new facility record at Franklin Field, one of track's most historic venues.
Thompson joins Alex Lucki, Xahria Santiago, and Jewel Smith as Terps to finish with All-American designation.
Mikella Lefebvre-Oatis is the last Terp in competition at the NCAA Championships. She'll compete for a national title in the high jump at 6:05 p.m. ET Saturday.
