Maryland Draws Clemson in ACC/B1G Challenge

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's basketball team will face Clemson at Littlejohn Coliseum Wed., Dec. 9 in the 2020 ACC/Big Ten Challenge, as announced Friday by ESPN.

The matchup will mark the 141st all-time meeting between the programs, and the first meeting since 2014 when Maryland departed the ACC for the Big Ten Conference.

The Terps have largely dominated the series, winning 90 of 140 meetings, including 13 consecutive from 1998 to 2004. Maryland and Clemson met at least once every season from 1953 to 2014 in a series that originated in 1938.

Maryland holds an 11-10 all-time record in the Challenge as a participant on both sides. The Terps' 11 wins are tied for fourth all-time among all participating teams.

Last season, Maryland handily defeated Notre Dame, 72-51.

Further schedule updates are expected to be announced in the upcoming weeks.
