"While this class may not be large in numbers, it is huge in terms of its impact on growing Maryland Softball. All three of these young ladies are exceptionally talented and will add to our program immediately", Montgomery said.

Kamryn Davis
Hometown: Menifee, California
High School: Paloma Valley
Position: Outfield
Club: Firecrackers Brashear
Before Maryland: Kamryn Davis has been a three-year varsity letter recipient at Paloma Valley High. She became League Champions with her team sophomore year, and stepped into a leadership role as team captain her junior year. As a member of the Firecrackers, Davis saw a 2015 USSSA National Championship, a 2017 Premier Girl Fastpitch Platinum Championship, and was named a Select 30 All-American in the same year.
Montgomery's Take: "Kamryn is next in line as another fantastic outfielder from the Firecrackers Brashear program. Starting with Amanda, and now Merissa, Kamryn is the next high level outfielder with a huge upside. She is so fast, and can hunt down lots of well hit balls in the outfield. She also is a triple threat offensive player being able to use her speed to get on base or her power to drive in runs. She joins a great group of outfielders giving us what may be one of the best outfields not only in the B1G but maybe in the country."

Amelia Lech
Hometown: Thousand Oaks, California
High School: Newbury Park
Position: Catcher
Clubs: Easton Prep Hansen / Firecrackers Brashear
Before Maryland: Amelia Lech has been a force on the field, earning several accolades throughout her high school career. In 2018 she became a CIF Southern Section Division 2 Champion, and was voted to the Marmonte League Second Team. In 2019, she was named Marmonte League Offensive Player of the Year, L.A. Daily News First Team, and Ventura County All-Second Team.
Montgomery's Take: "Amelia is an amazing catcher. Her defensive abilities and arm strength are among the best in the nation in my opinion, coming in with a lights out 1.6 POP time. In addition to that she hits for both power and average. She is one of the rarest of talents in being a not only high level catcher, but one that hits at such a high level as well. I'll give away my age here, but she is a Johnny Bench type talent."

Kyra Pittman
Hometown: Cumberland, Maryland
High School: Allegany High
Position: Pitcher
Clubs: Tri City Thunder / Lady Lighting Gold
Before Maryland: A native Marylander, Kyra Pittman has seen excellence on the softball field. In 2018, she became the Averey Bridges Memorial All Area High School Softball Player of the Year recipient. In 2019, she logged a .660 ERA, a .568 batting average, and 172 strikeouts. Pittman has also been ranked as high as No, 48 in the Class of 2021 Extra Elite 100.
Montgomery's Take: "Kyra is a power pitcher with great movement as well. She is a Maryland native, and bleeds red, black and yellow! She will bolster our pitching staff immediately, and will throw many important innings for us next season! Kyra is a pitcher that has the ability to not only get a high number of strikeouts but can also pitch to contact. That is such a rare combination."
