During her time at Maryland, Mandy Allendorfer was a strong and versatile player, making appearances all over the field. Her freshman year, Allendorfer notched a .500 batting average, as well as a 1.000 fielding percentage. During the same year, she also found herself on the Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll list, and received academic awards from the conference (ACC at the time) as well. Allendorfer's career was cut short due to a shoulder injury, but she finished her career with an impressive .429 batting average and was an integral part of helping her teammates throughout their regular seasons.
"My time as a student-athlete at Maryland was some of the most rewarding yet challenging years of my life. While injuries ended my career early, the lessons I learned adapting to those difficulties have stayed with me through the years. Finding ways to support my teammates without being on the field were some of the most fulfilling moments. Now working for professional athletes I draw on those years at Maryland every day and can relate to what players are going through, making me better at my job. I'm so proud to be a Terp!"
Allendrofer now works as the Director of Licensing in the marking department of MLB agent Scott Boras. She currently lives in Newport Beach, California, and enjoys hiking, being at the beach, and attending sporting events.Â
