"My time at Maryland made me into the person I am today without a doubt. I gained so much knowledge, independence, and hard work ethic attending Maryland after leaving my little hometown in Ohio. It was by far the hardest 4 years of my life being a student-athlete, but I would do it all over again if I could. To this day, 16 years after graduation, I hold some of the best memories, and lifelong friendships created from my opportunity as a Terp. I am so incredibly thankful for such a wonderful opportunity."
Monica currently resides in Stevensville where she has lived for 11 years. She loves spending her time outside by the water where her family is surrounded by the Chesapeake bay waters, on Kent Island. She also has a degree in nursing and has been an ER/ Cath lab/Interventional Radiology nurse for 11 years. She currently works as a nurse for the University of Maryland Medical System. She is married to her husband Adam, who is a career firefighter for Howard County Fire & Rescue. They have one daughter and three sons, Kayden 15, Lane 14, Reece 3, and Brooks 2.
