COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The No. 24-ranked Maryland Gymnastics team will travel to Toledo, Ohio this weekend to compete at the annual Big Five Meet hosted by Elevate the Stage on Saturday, February 22 at 7 p.m. Maryland will compete in the evening session alongside Big Ten opponents No. 9 Michigan, Michigan State, No. 7 Minnesota and No. 29 Penn State.

This is the sixth Big Five Meet the Terrapins will participate in. Last year Maryland finished in fourth place with a team score of 195.500.
The Terps come off their third-best performance of the season with a team score of 195.750. Two gymnasts earned career-highs including freshman
Reese McClure on both beam (9.850) and floor (9.900), and senior
Tiara Wright on floor (9.925).
Minnesota is currently ranked No. 7 in the nation. The Golden Gophers are currently 5-1 on the season and 5-0 in the conference meets. Minnesota is currently ranked in all events: vault (No. 11), bars (No. 10), beam (No. 2) and floor (No. 20). The Gophers' all-around season-high is a 197.400.
Michigan is currently ranked No. 9 in the nation. The Wolverines are currently undefeated with a 7-0 record headed into the Big Five Meet. Michigan is currently ranked in all events: vault (No. 2), bars (No. 7), beam (No. 12) and floor (No. 8). The Wolverines' all-around season-high is a 197.350.
Penn State is currently ranked No. 29 in the nation. The Nittany Lions are coming off their sixth loss of the season earning a score of 195.15 in a loss to Ohio State. Penn State's best event is bars where it is nationally ranked No. 15. The Nittany Lions' all-around season-high is a 196.325.
Michigan State is currently ranked No. 31 in the nation. The Spartans are coming off their fourth win of the season, earning a score of 196.150 over Illinois. Michigan State's best events are beam and floor where they are nationally ranked No. 15 and No. 19, respectively. The Spartans' all-around season-high is a 196.550.
