Biography

As a Senior (2020): Competed in all 10 meets on bars and beam and eight on floor...started her season at the Little Boston Invitational (1/11) where she earned a 9.825 on bars, tying her for second on the podium, followed by a 9.850 first-place tie for the beam title as well as a 9.675 on floor...earned a 9.825 on bars and beam, earning second place on beam, also earned a 9.775 on floor at home against Iowa (1/19)...notched a 9.875 on bars, tied for third with a 9.800 on beam and a 9.675 on floor at the Ohio State Tri-Meet (1/25)...earned second-place on both bars and beam 9.850s as well as a 9.800 on floor against Illinois (2/2)...finished first on beam with a 9.850 at Nebraska (2/8)...earned a third-place finish on podium for her bars routine 9.825, earned a 9.750 on beam and earned first place on floor notching a career-high 9.925 against Rutgers (2/16)...finished second on bars earning a 9.925, posted a 9.800 on beam and a 9.700 on floor at Big Fives (2/22)...on her senior night matched the program-high bars score 9.950, making her the second gymnast in Maryland history, also placed first in the event followed by a 9.775 on beam and a second place 9.850 finish on floor at the Terrapin Invitational (3/1)...earned a 9.775 on bars and a 9.725 on beam at the Towson Tri Meet (3/6)...claimed first place on bars matching her personal-best and program-best 9.950 and matched her career-high 9.850 on beam to earn second place at the George Washington Invite (3/8)...*The remainder of the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a Junior (2019): Competed in 13 on bars and beam...earned a 9.850 or better on bars three times and a 9.825 or better twice...earned a 9.800 on bars in the first meet of the season (1/13)...tied for first place on beam with a 9.825 at Illinois (1/19)...posted a 9.775 on bars at Rutgers (2/2)...placed second on bars with a 9.875 and took third on beam with a 9.825 against Ohio State (2/8)...posted a 9.800 on beam at Big Fives (2/22)...earned a 9.750 on bars and a 9.800 on beam at the George Washington Tri-Meet (3/1)...earned first on bars and matched her career-best 9.900 at Temple (3/8)...notched a 9.800 on bars and a 9.750 on beam in the final Maryland Quad (3/10)...tied for second on bars with a 9.850 and earned a 9.775 on beam at the Towson Five Meet (3/17)...posted a 9.800 on bars at Big Ten Championships (3/23)...at NCAA Athens Regionals earned a 9.800 on bars and a 9.750 on beam.

As a Sophomore at WVU (2017): Competed in 10 meets and earned time on bars, beam and floor...set or matched career highs on bars (9.900) and beam (9.850)...finished fourth on the team with eight podium finishes, including two wins on bars...scored 9.8 or better on bars in eight meets and did not drop a score on the event all season...placed third on bars at Pitt (1/13) with a 9.800 mark...tied for first on bars against Denver, Temple and Towson (1/29) with a 9.875 score...scored a career-best 9.850 on beam and finished second against Iowa State and Maryland; also finished second on bars with a 9.825...earned a career-best 9.900 on bars and finished tied for third at the 2017 NCAA Morgantown Regional Championships (4/1)...finished the season with averages of 9.828 on bars, a team-best 9.657 on beam and 8.500 on floor.

As a Freshman at WVU (2016): Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team...competed in all 13 meets, five as a three-event specialist, and finished fourth on team with 271.95 points...tallied three event wins and ranked No. 4 on the team with six podium finishes...tallied a career-high 9.900 on bars against Ohio State and Bowling Green (3/6) and tied for the event win...put together a fantastic performance at Pitt (3/13), scoring career highs on all three events and winning bars (9.900) and beam (9.850); also tallied 9.800 on floor.

Before Maryland: Five year level 10 gymnast at Parkettes National Gymnastics Center...four-time Junior Olympics National Championships qualifier and 2012 uneven bars national champion...finished in 10th place on balance beam at the 2015 Junior Olympics National Championships...transfer from West Virginia University...attended Bridgeway Academy.

Personal: Daughter of Myron and Monet Horsey...has one sister, Talyah and a brother Jamar...made the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
