STATESBORO, GA -- Maryland captured a 9-2 win over Furman in day one of the Eagle Round Robin. Freshman Courtney Wyche collected the first win of her career in the circle as a Terp.

What You Need To Know

Maryland improved to 3-7 while Furman fell to 1-8 on the season.
The Terps jumped out to a 6-0 lead midway through the fourth inning
Sophomore Taylor Okada went 3-for-5 with three RBIs.
Junior Jojo McRae went 3-for-4 scoring two runs.
Maryland outhit Furman 16-3, with zero errors.
Maryland jumped out to a 4-1 lead midway through the second inning.
Anna Kufta got the scoring started as she singled home Okada. The Terps scored two runs in the first inning.
Okada drove in McRae and Regan Kerr for two more runs in the top of the second, driving the lead up to 4-0.
Gracie Vougaris singled down left line, bringing Okada in for the fifth run.
Taylor Liguori's double up the middle scored Kufta for the sixth run of the game in the top of the fourth.
McRae got the first triple of the season.

1: Wyche got her first win of her career in the circle, with five strikeouts
2: Okada, Liguori, Kufta and McRae all scored two runs each.
3: Three Terps (Okada, Liguori, and McRae) all notched three hits a piece.
