COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Each week during the 2019-20 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is senior Tiara Wright of gymnastics.

Senior Tiara Wright matched the Maryland Gymnastics record on bars where she earned a 9.950. In her Senior Day showcase, Wright led the Terrapins to a season-high team score 196.975, the highest team score since 2004. 

Wright's consistent scores led to two podium finishes including first place on bars and second place on floor with a 9.850. Her 9.775 beam score gave the GymTerps their best beam team score of the season (49.050). This is the third straight week that Wright has set a career-best score.
