Each week during the spring, umterps.com will profile a different member of the Maryland women's soccer team leading up to the 2020 season. This week we'll get to know freshman Keyera Wynn, who appeared in 19 games during her first collegiate season for the Terps. The Greensboro, N.C. native netted her first career goal against Temple on September 12, and will be a key piece for the Maryland offense in the season ahead.  

What was your favorite moment from last season? 

Playing Purdue in the rain (which made it really dramatic) and winning of course

What are your goals for next season?

To get better as a player and contribute to the team's success even more. I hope I can be a part of us winning the Big Ten tournament and going to NCAAs. Also, I want put more balls in the back of the net if given the opportunity

What attracted you to the University of Maryland?        

The culture of the athletic program and soccer team seemed like something I wanted to be a part of. The campus is really pretty and it felt like home from the very beginning

If you could play another sport at Maryland what would it be?

I would run track and cross country because I really like to run and did it in high school

What is your favorite memory from playing soccer? 

Scoring my first goal at Maryland against Temple

Favorite class you've taken at Maryland so far?

Organic Chemistry even though it's quite challenging

Are you a good cook, what's your favorite thing to make?

Yes I am an amazing Chef, my favorite thing to make is pasta or soup

What is your favorite thing about yourself?

I am usually very optimistic and smile and laugh a lot

What is the best vacation you have ever been on?

I went to Spain for three weeks a couple of summers ago and had the best time ever

If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be?

Coffee or chapstick
