COLLEGE PARK, Md. – University of Maryland senior golfer
Peter Knade has been selected to the All-Big Ten first team, it was announced by the league on Monday. All-Conference selections were voted on by the Big Ten coaches.
Knade earned three top 10 finishes in the Terps' five events this season. He finished second at the VCU Invitational in September by shooting a 204 (67-68-69), which was 12 strokes under par.
Knade finished third at The Intercollegiate at Innisbrook in November with a score of 207 (66-67-74), which was six under. He earned two Big Ten Golfer of the Week honors this season.
The Big Ten also recognized 14 Sportsmanship Award honorees and sophomore
Will Koras was selcted from the Terps. The students chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, the students must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
