COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland men's soccer and SELECT have agreed to a contract that will make SELECT the official ball supplier for Maryland men's soccer, the two entities announced Thursday. 

"I am extremely excited to partner with SELECT as our official ball supplier for the next five years," Maryland head coach Sasho Cirovski said. "I believe they have the best soccer ball in the world. Their quest for excellence is something that I can relate to and appreciate."

Founded in 1947 by Danish National Team goalkeeper Eigil Nielson, SELECT is one of the leading soccer ball manufacturers in the world, with partnerships that stretch throughout the globe. SELECT will also be the official ball supplier of Sasho Cirovski's Maryland Soccer Camp for Boys. 

"SELECT is honored to partner with such a prestigious program as University of Maryland men's soccer," the company said in a statement. "Maryland has been one of the top programs in the country for decades, and it is only fitting that they should train and play with the best ball on the market!"

Led by Cirovski, Maryland men's soccer is one of the top programs in the nation, competing at a National Championship level for the last three decades. The Terps current squad will be among the national contenders when the season gets underway. The 2020 season is currently delayed due the COVID-19 pandemic.
