A two-time All-ACC selection and NFCA All-Mid Atlantic Region Honoree, Jennifer Sandadi (formerly Potzman) made her mark on the Maryland softball program. In her first year, Jennifer led the Terps in games played (50) and games started (50), earning the starting assignment at shortstop as a true freshman. She went on to continue this streak through her senior year, where she currently sits atop the record books in games played and started at Maryland (241). The former Terp also remains in the top-five for career at-bats, hits, runs and walks. During her sophomore season, Jennifer and the team saw overwhelming success, making it to the NCAA Regional Finals where they finished the year ranked No. 10 in the nation.Â
After graduating from Maryland in 2002, Jennifer went on to medical school and residency to become an Anesthesiologist and Critical Care physician. "I truly love my career and am blessed to have had numerous opportunities in my life."
On her new and busy life, Jennifer mentioned "if we are not at Taekwondo, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, softball, or Kumon, you can usually find us at the beach!" She now resides with her husband and two children Zoe (9) and Ty (8) in Fort Myers, Florida.Â
